The majority of Single Family home in South Shore were built from 1975 to 1981 and are typically 3 bedroom, 2.5 bathrooms with 1700 to 1900 Square Feet of Living area.  There are a few homes that range from smaller 2 bedroom 2 bath homes with 1200 Square Feet of Living area up to the larger South Shore single family homes with 4 bedrooms 3+ bathrooms and over 3,000 square feet of living area. Typically these South Shore Single Family homes have 2 car garages as well and are on cul de sacs or waterfront lots be it a canal or lake Wellington.  The townhomes and villas are typically 2 or 3 bedrooms with 2.5 bathrooms and average around 1500 Square Feet of Living Area.   The majority of townhome/villas offer a single car garage as well.  Most of the homes in South Shore are CBS construction, have split bedroom plans and are on larger lots.  Lot sizes average 1/4 acre up to 1/3 acre with plenty of backyard space for pools, summer kitchens and family play.  When South Shore was being built there were many different builders involved so you can see the various home styles as you drive down the street. Over the years the South Shore homes have been updated with granite counters, stainless appliances, upgraded bathrooms as well as laminate flooring to replace older carpeting.

The Single Family homes and most of the townhomes/villas in South Shore are NOT governed by an HOA. There a few exceptions however.  A few townhomes off of Westhampton Circle  DO belong to an HOA.  South Shore is PET Friendly with few restrictions if any.  South Shore of Wellington does not have their own community amenities but the Village of Wellington does have much to offer.  There are many Wellington Florida parks  close by which include:  Mystic Park which is located at 1100 Mystic Way in South Shore 4,  Essex Park located at 1250 Essex Drive in South Shore 1 as well as Field of Dreams  which is located at 12800 Peconic Park.  South Shore is only minutes to the Wellington Veterans Park, Wellington Aquatics Center and Amphitheater.

Wellington Florida is a family centered community. The Village of Wellington has events scheduled throughout the year for their residents.  There is the “Wellington Idol” competition, the Father Daughter dance, the Annual Egg Hunt, Free Movie night on Friday evenings at the Wellington Amphitheater, Food Truck Invasion on Thursday, Free Concerts and lots more fun stuff for Everybody!  If you are into Equestrian activities, there is the Wellington Equestrian Festival which runs from January through to April.  Only minutes from the South Shore of Wellington community, you will be able to enjoy Dressage Events, Hunter/Jumper events and watch world class riders and their horses strive to collect blue ribbons, statues and prize money.  Palm Beach Polo is just minutes away.  You can enjoy sipping champagne and watch the Polo Ponies gallop down the fields and stop and turn on a dime!  Prefer your entertainment to be more relaxing and meditative?  Check out the The Peaceful Waters Sanctuary at 11676  Pierson Rd.  Here you can commune with nature on the 30 acre wetlands that are home to Florida animals and plant species.

South Shore of Wellington Florida homes are zoned for Top Rated Wellington Schools.
